Legalizing Cannabis Will Benefit Us In Many Ways

As you can probably already imagine, Tommy Chong is one of the people who is in favor of legalizing cannabis all over the world and some of his points of view are really smart and I do agree with almost everything that he has to say. While most people might not take this counterculture comedian very seriously, the fact of the matter is that he has made some very wise comments lately and he can surely help us to legalize this herb.

It was just yesterday, when Chong was interviewd by The Christian Science Monitor and where he talked about the legalization of marijuana and why he believes that ending prohibition will benefit us all in many ways. Chong talked about how legalizing marijuana can help to boos up the deeply affected economy that we have today, as taxes could be charged and would really help everyone out a lot.

Some Of Tommy’s Views On Legalizing Cannabis

According to Chong’s interview, growing marijuana is not as expensive as growing other herbs and this could be a great advantage for farmers as well. “There’s little manufacturing cost. You don’t have to do anything except watch it grow and get a couple of hippies to cut it and then put it in a bag,” said Tommy. This means that farmers could increase their revenues very easily by growing this plant and that the government would benefit as well, since they would charge these farmers taxes, charge for certain permits and much more.

Chong also talked about the medical benefits of cannabis and how the market for this herb is growing more every single year. Because there are now nearly 20 States in the US that have approved marijuana for medicinal purposes, Chong believes that the herb will start helping more people as well and that everyone will soon realize how legalizing cannabis can help us a lot more than not allowing people to consume it.

In past interviews, Chong had talked about not being in favor of legalizing marijuana and taxing this herb, but today he says that it is our best option and that he is already planning to use cannabis oil, to treat the cancer that he is suffering from.  Chong described how the oil made from cannabis has helped him to lead a better life and to eliminate the treat of cancer in his life. “I also treated the condition with hemp oil. With the diet, the supplements and the hash oil, plus a session with a world-renowned healer, Adam Dreamhealer, I’m cancer-free. That’s right, I kicked cancer’s ass!” said Tommy.

As you can see, cannabis does benefit people in different ways and it can benefit our economy as well. It is time for everyone to admit that legalizing cannabis is the right choice for us and that keeping this herb under strict rules, will only make people desire it even more.
