Bob Marley Will Get His Own Cannabis Brand

Even after death, Bob Marley is still one of the most popular artists around the world and marijuana activists that there has been.  Now, some of Marley's family members, have decided to use his name, to promote the legal marijuana market in the United States and the world, by selling Bob Marley cannabis.  

Privateer Holdings, will be launching "Marley Natural" in late 2015.  Cedella Marley, who is Bob Marley's daughter, stated:

"My dad would be so happy to see people understanding the healing power of the herb.  He viewed the herb as something spiritual that could awaken our well-being, deepen our reflection, connect us to nature and liberate our creativity.  Marley Natural is an authentic way to honor his legacy, by adding his voice to the conversation about cannabis and helping end the social harms caused by prohibition." 

The new brand, will include Jamaican marijuana strains and their herbs, will not be grown with fertilizer, which is what Bob Marley preferred.  

It is nice to see that Marley's name will still be a part of the modern marijuana movement and we are pretty certain that the organic cannabis and marijuana products that Marley Natural will be selling, is going to be out of this world.

Snoop Dogg Says He Smoked Cannabis In The White House

Could Snoop Dogg Really Have Smoked Marijuana In The White House?

In a recent interview, Snoop Dogg, has stated that he smoked marijuana in the White House, while President Obama was not there.  Even if cannabis is now legal in Washington, I am pretty sure that smoking in the White House is not allowed yet. 

It was in an online show, called "GGN: The Double G News Network", were Snoop Dogg talked about getting a little high in the White House's bathroom.  He said that he was asked by the some of the officials there, about what he was going to do in the bathroom and that he said he had to go "number two".  He also talks about how he always has to have a joint or something to smoke, while he is in the bathroom and that he really does not see what the harm is.   In the interview, he said that the White House officials told him he could light a napkin, to make the stench go away and he hilarious takes a drag of his blunt and starts puffing away live.   

It is obviously impossible to prove, whether Snoop Dogg really smoked marijuana in the White House or not, unless he took a "selfie" or someone else has some evidence about this.  As always, Snoop Dogg continues to promote the legalization of marijuana worldwide and he is one of the most important activists that we have right now.  

Even if some people do not like what he does or how he does it, in the online interview show, he said some very interesting things about marijuana and he also stated, "legalize it and I will advertise it."

Good Bye James Garner

RIP James Garner

Today, I will sadly have to tell you about the death of James Garner last Sunday.  He was a very famous American actor from the 50's and he was also a cannabis activist.  He appeared in movies such as, "The Rockford Files" and "Maverick", which were two very popular films.  

In his memoirs, James talks a lot about marijuana and this is one of the reasons we want to mention him in this blog.  Some people have wrote about this too and they believe that he probably spent his last few minutes on this planet, smoking some herb, which we at Zip 420 think is an excellent way to go.  

James wrote, "I started smoking marijuana in my late teens.  I drank to get drunk, but ultimately didn't like the effect.  Not so with grass.  Grass is smooth.  It had the opposite effect from alcohol: it made me more tolerant and forgiving.  I smoked marijuana for 50 years.  I don't know where I'd be without it.  It opened my mind to a lot of things and now it's active ingredient, THC, relaxes me and eases my arthritis pain.  I've concluded that marijuana should be legal and alcohol should be illegal.  But, good luck with that."

We had already published a post, about a marijuana strain being named after Peyton Manning and now, there is a new strain that has been named after another famous NFL Player.  If you know a little bit about football and read the news every now and then, you should know that the Super Bowl is right around the corner and that players are already arriving at Newark International Airport, to get ready for the game. 

 

The Super Bowl, will feature the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, which both happen to be cannabis friendly States.  Marshawn Lynch, plays for the Seahawks and he is one of the team's best players.  Peyton Manning, also happens to be part of the Broncos' team, but this article is not about him.  Lynch, has earned the nickname of "Beast Mode", as he can become a beast on the football field. 

 

This nickname, is the phrase, which has inspired a Washington marijuana growing business, to name one of its strains.  Zion Gardens, is the cannabis business, which has decided to name one of their marijuana strains "Beast Mode" and they have come up with the name, just in time for the Super Bowl. 

 

The strain, is supposed to be, super extra-strong and it will surely be a favorite, during these upcoming months.  Now that cannabis is legal in some places of the world, new cannabis strain names will surely keep popping and famous people are sure to be the inspiration for many.

Joe Jonas Smoked Marijuana With Miley And Demi

Celebrities Smoke Marijuana With Each Other

It is not uncommon, for celebrities to be involved with cannabis and now, Joe Jonas, claims that Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, encouraged him to smoke some marijuana, when he was only a teenager.  Joe, who is part of the Jonas Brothers group, has admitted that he first tried this herb, when he was only a teenager and that some of his fellow Disney stars, encouraged him to do so.

 

New York Magazine, recently published in one of their articles, Joe's exact words, "the first time I smoked weed was with Demi (Lovato) and Miley (Cyrus)...They kept saying, 'Try it! Try it' so I gave it a shot, and it was all right.  I don't even smoke weed that often anymore."

 

According to Joe, most of Disney's stars are set to rebel at one point of their lives and he also said, "being part of the Disney thing for so long will make you want to be this perfect little puppet forever.  Eventually, I hit a limit and thought, screw all this, I'm just going to show people who I am.  I think that happened to a lot of us.  Disney kids are spunky in some way, and I think that's why Disney hires them...Five, six, 10 years later, they're like, 'Oh! What do we do?' Come on, guys.  You did this to yourselves."

 

Smoking Marijuana Is Not A Big Deal Anymore

 

Just as Joe Jonas came forth, many other celebrities are also admitting to having tried cannabis at some point of their lives and some, have even admitted that they love it.  As more celebrities, keep showing their love for cannabis, more people start trying it and also admit, that legalization is the best solution to this problem. 

 

Cannabis has proven to be a medicine in many cases and it has also proven, to be a much safer recreational activity, than drinking or smoking tobacco is.  Just as Joe Jonas came forward with smoking marijuana, we should all start doing something to let others know, about the benefits of this herb and what legalization would do for our world.

Miley Cyrus Lights A Joint In MTV European Music Awards

Miley Cyrus Is A True Marijuana Activist

While some people, might still be criticizing Miley Cyrus for some of her recent performances, the young star, has given everybody a little more to talk about.  It was just this last Sunday, when Miley Cyrus went on stage, at the MTV European Music Awards and decided to light up a marijuana joint, after receiving her award.  This certainly caused a lot of controversy, but it also gained her a lot of cheering and applause. 

 

"I couldn't fit this award in my bag, but I did find this, so thank you guys very much," were Miley's exact words, before she reached into her bag and got out a marijuana joint, to light up.   According to some resources, MTV, decided to block some of the footage, when this was televised in the US, but millions of people were able to see Miley light up her joint on stage and this shows, that more people are not really worried about the legalization of marijuana becoming a reality. 

 

Although, nobody has confirmed, that what Miley got out on stage, was in fact a marijuana joint, many do believe that it was and this is why her actions, have created a lot of controversy around the world.  Not even Miley's representatives, have talked about the event, nor have they denied it. 

 

Miley, has been related to marijuana, since her 19th birthday, when she talked about being a stoner and also joked about it.  Today, her current webpage, has a cigarette with a marijuana leaf and this should prove, that Miley is in favor of legalizing cannabis worldwide. 

 

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Miley stated, "I think weed is the best drug on Earth.  Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is much better." If this does not give you an idea, of what Miley really thinks about this herb, nothing really will.

 

The MTV European Music Awards, were hosted in Amsterdam this year, which is a place known for its marijuana legalization for a very long time.  This, surely encouraged Miley to lit up a joint on stage and at Zip 420, we are very glad that she did.  Great job Miley!

Just like many other singers and people around the world, Thicke is moved by the power of cannabis and he has stated that it does help him work, unlike what many non cannabis activists have stated before.  Thicke, was arrested for possession of marijuana in New York City, only last year and since then, he has told the press how much he has spent on this herb and that it has not really affected his career up until now.

According to “The Sun” from Britain, Robin Thicke has been consuming marijuana for quite some time now and he has made some very positive statements about this herb throughout the years.   “I do smoke. I do everything I’m not supposed to do.  Weed is my crutch, my muse, the lesser of all evil.  I’ve spent a good $500000 on pot.  I’ve tried to quit smoking.  I’ve quit everything once.  My buddy runs a store, I can get medical marijuana. When I’m at home, I’m a non-stop chimney,” said Thicke to “The Sun”.

It was last year in Manhattan, when Thicke was supposedly sitting in his car, with a join in his hand and was arrested by police.  The “Blurred Lines” singer had to spend some time fixing this problem, but since he did not have a large amount of marijuana, he did not get in any more trouble.

First of all, I want to apologize to all Zip 420 readers, as I have not been able to upload any new posts for the past couple of days. The truth is that I went out on a vacation, to Cancun, Mexico, were I had lots of fun, but had some problems trying to find some weed. Over the years, I have travelled a bit and since I have been an avid cannabis smoker for about 15 years now, I have bought weed in several cities and countries as well. 

It was on this trip to Cancun that I had some problems finding some weed, which I thought was not going to be hard at all, but it was. After going to Coco Bongo for some drinks and an amazing show, I went on a search for cannabis and found that they do sell some tiny bags for $60 USD, which is actually a lot more than I am used to paying for my weed, but it was worth it.  Hope that you all had a nice weekend too and that you get to travel to Cancun at least once in your lifetime. 

Just like me, there are millions of people who love cannabis out there and Rihanna is one of them.  This famous singer and actress, has made it clear that she loves marijuana and this is why we love her so much at Zip 420.

This might be old news for some of you, but I really believe it’s worth writing about Rihanna and her love for cannabis.  This famous singer, actor and model, has been seen smoking cannabis in public several times in the last few months and she has even Tweeted about it many times as well. Not only is she beautiful, sings amazingly great and dances incredibly well too, but she also likes to smoke cannabis. 

There is almost no one who knows for sure when Rihanna first started smoking the herb, but it is certain that she likes it and she is not hiding it anymore. In the artwork of her recent song “Diamonds”, one can see a hand filled with some beautiful and very shiny diamonds, as well as some nice looking rolling papers in the front part of the picture.

I really believe that Rihanna is in favor of the legalization of cannabis and this is why she is one my favorite celebrities. Celebrities smoking weed is nothing new, but I am really glad that Rihanna is letting everybody know how much she loves the herb. Rhianna probably chose to smoke cannabis freely while on her holiday in Hawaii, because this State has made the possession of cannabis one of the lowest priorities for the police and other law enforcers in the State.   Since 2008, a ballot was accepted within the State and it allows people who are over 21 years of age to have up to 24 plants or 24 ounces of cannabis within their private property.

For those who are caught with cannabis in public, the State of Hawaii considers having up to one ounce of this herb a misdemeanor and might get you 30 days in jail or a fine of up to $1000. Famous rapper and now very influential person, Snoop Dogg, now known as Snoop Lion, is certain that he will be smoking marijuana with some of the most important politicians and powerful men very soon. While it is widely known that Snoop Lion smokes cannabis and that he is surrounded by some of the world’s most influential people, not many of them have made public their opinion on the herb, until now.

In a recent interview to WWTDD, Snoop Lion stated that he would really enjoy smoking the herb with Bill Clinton, who was once the president of the US and is still a very influential man. Snoop responded quite fast, when he was asked the question about, who he would like to smoke the herb with and this is why we know that he truly meant it.

Snoop’s answer was “Bill Clinton. He is not the fucking president anymore. He can inhale.” These are some strong words, but I am sure that the smoke out that these two would have, would be one to remember.

Smoking Marijuana With Other Influential People

When talking about President Obama, Snoop said that it would probably not be a good idea to smoke out with him, as he is the commander in chief right now and this would certainly not look good on him. “How would that look publicity-wise for the president to sit down, with me knowing I’m bringing this shit to the White House?”

Snoop also stated that he doesn’t believe that he would have a problem to sneak some herb into the White House and that he could very likely get by security. His exact words were, “you could pat me down all the fuck you want, this shit’s getting in.”

Bill Gates also tried marijuana and he has admitted to it in several interviews. He certainly is an influential man and one of the men responsible for you being able to read this right now, which means that smoking marijuana did not affect him at all.

It is not uncommon for celebrities to be part of scandals or news that are not related to the movies or work that they are promoting at the time and now Jennifer Lawrence was caught smoking cannabis in public and drinking some wine at the same time.  It was last February 27, when Jennifer was taken some pictures in her hotel room, which show the young actress with a large joint in her hand.

After Jennifer won the Oscar for best actress just a few days before this, she decided to take a holiday in Hawaii with one of her close friend and it was here that the pictures were taken. Jennifer was wearing a simple gray blouse and she looked beautiful as ever. Not only did she look gorgeous, but she looked even hotter with a joint in her hand.

Both Jennifer and her friend smoked some cannabis and drank a little wine. They were seen having fun and talking to each other, just like any other normal person would do. The 22 year old actress was seen sitting on her hotel room’s balcony and although this was something unexpected, we are glad that Jennifer is part of our culture.

Willie Nelson is without a doubt, one of the most iconic, influencing and popular artists in the music industry. He has been awarded ten Grammys and he has also helped a lot of people throughout his career. Not only is he a great singer and artist, but Willie has also recently written a book about his life, which is titled "Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die." We all know about Willie's ideas on cannabis and this is why at Zip420, we recognize him as one of the famous marijuana smokers. 

Most people know that Willie's favorite pastime or hobby is to smoke marijuana and he has made it public many times. Last November, Willie appeared in the "Piers Morgan Show" and he had an amazing interview. As soon as the interview started, Willie was asked a question, which almost noboody expected. The host asked Willie if he had smoked cannabis right before the show and if he was in his typical haze state. Willie did not hesitate to answer and he even said that he might of had smoke some cannabis earlier that morning, but that he did not recall it pretty well, as he made a small joke about short term memory loss.

This was only one of the times that Willie has talked about cannabis in public and he even talked about some of his famous friends, with whom he smokes cannabis together with, many times per year.

During that interview, Willie, who has created more than 60 studio albums and is a famous country music star, also commented about some of the people that he smokes cannabis with and he told the public a great story about him and famous rapper Snoop Dogg. According to Willie, he was once in the city of Amsterdam, when he received a call from his close friend Snoop Dogg, with whom he smokes cannabis on a regular basis and talked about recording a song together.

Willie said in the interview, that when Snoop Dogg found out he was in Amsterdam, Snoop took the first plane that he could and met his friend in the Neatherlands.  They both then spent a few days relaxing, smoking cannabis and recording a new song together. This is certainly a good story about two of the most famous marijuana smokers ever and it also shows how cannabis has helped, this two very different artists to work together.
