More Mexicans Are Consuming Marijuana These Days

The Consumption Of Marijuana Is Increasing In Mexico

According to some recent studies, by juvenile centres in Mexico, the number of people who consume marijuana, is increasing all over Mexico and in at least 18 States, people prefer cannabis over tobacco.

Carmen Fernandez Caceres, who is in charge of these centres, stated that she has kept a personal and professional record, of the number of juveniles who consume cannabis and how this number has increased since 2008.  The number of people who consume marijuana in Mexico, is increasing in States located in the North and the South of the country as well, so it has nothing to do with the place that they live in.

In some Mexican States like Yucatan, which is in the South, the number of young people who consume this herb, increased in more than 25% since 2008.  The percentage of people who smoke tobacco, also decreased in this State during  these years and this proves how some people are substituting smoking one plant for another.

In the State of Veracruz, which sits along the Gulf of Mexico, the percentage of young people who consume marijuana,  also increased by 29% during 2007 to 2014 and it is very likely that this number will keep growing over the years.

The State of Morelos, had the largest growth in marijuana consumption, as the percentage reached 31%.  These are all outstanding facts and it proves how more people now prefer to consume cannabis, rather than tobacco, which can surely be more harmful for our health.

Some politicians in Mexico, are already looking to legalize and regulate marijuana for medicinal and recreational uses, so hopefully these laws will be changed soon and Mexico can join the countries that are taking the next step towards allowing people to consume cannabis.

Consuming Cannabis Does Not Affect Your IQ

Consuming Cannabis Is Not As Dangerous As Most Still Believe

Contrary to what most of us have been told all of our lives, marijuana use is not really hazardous to our health and we are finally letting the younger generations know the truth about this magnificent herb. Recently, the University College of London, published their results on a study about how consuming marijuana can affect our IQ's and they found some very interesting things.

The study involved 2612 children, who were tested back in 1991 and 1992, when they were only about eight years old and then tested again when they turned 15. The study involved factors like cigarette use, alcohol use and heavy cannabis use, which proved not to be as dangerous to our IQ's, as we have been told in the past.

The results proved that drinking alcohol is more dangerous to our IQ's, than cannabis use is and this is why we should all stop believing what we were told a few years or decades ago.  Today, it is obvious that cannabis prohibition has not worked at all and that we have been told infinite lies about this herb.  Today we know that cannabis is medicine and we all have to fight for the legalization of marijuana, because it is simply the right thing to do!

This November Is An Important Month For Legal Marijuana

Voters Will Decide On Legal Marijuana This November

It will be on November 4th of this year, when voters in several states of the US, will decide whether they want legal cannabis around them or not.  Washington DC, Alaska and Oregon will decide whether to legalize this herb or not and in Florida, voters will get the chance to make cannabis legal for medicinal purposes.

The polls point towards voters wanting to legalize this herb and change the current laws once and for all.  Hopefully, next November 4th, we will see these States changing their cannabis laws and allowing people to consume this herb, which is a medicine for some and just a hobby for others.

We all need to support the legalization of marijuana in our communities, as this is the only way that we will get opponents to change their minds.

Can Marijuana Protect You From Ebola?

Cannabis May Be A Good Way To Fight Ebola

If you have been paying attention to the news recently, you probably already heard about the Ebola virus outbursts worldwide and how it has already reached North America.   At the moment, there are no effective vaccines or treatments against this disease and this is why, many people are concerned.

Thankfully, marijuana may hold the answer to this problem and just as it helps people with HIV and other diseases, it could help to stop Ebola once and for all.

Ebola is a virus, which kills cells in our bodies and this is why it is so dangerous.  This virus, is also  extremely dangerous, because it acts differently in every person and this means that it is harder to come up with effective vaccines and treatments.

When the Ebola virus, makes a person's body release a large number of enzymes and activates a very large number of immune cells, it  can cause death and this is why we should all be weary about this disease.

If you didn't know, cannabis contains natural antiretrovirals and it also acts as a natural anti-inflammatory, which is why it could benefit people who are suffering from Ebola.  Studies have already proven marijuana to be an effective way to regulate the immune system in people infected with HIV and because Ebola is similar to the HIV virus, consuming cannabis, may also be a good way to treat it.

Hopefully this theory proves to be right and scientists, should not have any problems, coming up with an effective vaccine and treatment against Ebola.

Italian Army Will Grow Marijuana

Italy Looks To Grow Cheaper Marijuana

If you did had not heard, Italy legalized marijuana for medicinal purposes last year and although this is great news for us all, they were having problems with the costs of growing this herb, which is why they are now looking for a solution and their government has decided that the army is the best organization to solve this.

In 2015, a military base in Florence, will start growing cannabis for medicinal use in Italy and their government is pretty certain that this solution, will allow them to provide high quality medical marijuana to all patients, at a very affordable price.

According to some studies, the new Italian Army cannabis grow, will allow the government to lower medical marijuana prices for patients, as they are currently paying very high prices for their medicine and this is not right.  Some patients, have had to pay up to ten times more, for marijuana imported from Holland and this is one of the main reasons, the Italian government is looking for new ways to grow their own weed and benefit everyone.

Some authorities in this country, are now also thinking of giving away medical cannabis for free, in order to stop organized crime from selling this herb and thus lowering their impact on society.  Although many are in favor of these new laws, there are some people who are not very happy about them and this is due to Italy's Catholic background and cultural ideas.

Hopefully, these people soon realize that marijuana is a real medicine for some patients and that legalizing or regulating this herb, is the only way to end some problems with organized crime worldwide.
