New Marijuana Editor For The Denver Post
You should already know, that the State of Colorado, has legalized marijuana for both medicinal and recreational purposes. Now, the Denver Post, which is one of Colorado's most important newspaper, will keep its readers informed, not only about news, sports, entertainment and finances, but about marijuana as well.
The Denver Post, has recently hired a new editor, who will be in charge of publishing only cannabis related news to their daily editions and this is certainly a huge step towards legalizing marijuana worldwide. Ricardo Baca, who was Denver Post's entertainment editor, has now been named the official marijuana editor for this newspaper and many are very excited about this. Baca has already been working for this newspaper, for over a decade and while he admits that he is not a "stoner", he has also admitted to having smoked cannabis a few times in his life.
According to Kevin Dale, who is Denver Post's news director, marijuana will be the biggest news during 2014 and this is why, they decided to have a special editor, just for this topic. While the Denver Post, has a "no drug" policy for their employees, the VP of Human Resources, as stated that they should "smoke responsibly" and cover all of the news related to this herb.
The VP's exact words about this were, "as with alcohol, you are not allowed to ingest (either via cigarettes or food) marijuana in the office or come to the office 'reeking' of marijuana. If you do imbibe marijuana in the course of covering it for your job, we expect you to take necessary steps to ensure you do not drive while impaired or put anyone at risk."
The Denver Post, has also announced, that they are looking to hire a freelancer for criticizing cannabis, a freelance columnist, to provide advice about marijuana and a freelance video game
writer, so they can cover the latest cannabis related video games and provide some useful information about them.
