New Marijuana Laws In New Hampshire
We had already talked about the idea of legalizing marijuana in New Hampshire, but today this is now closer to becoming a reality, as a new bill was approved and this means that cannabis will become available for people living in this area, by 2015. The marijuana laws in New Hampshire have been changed and because Governor Maggie Hassan, is also in favor of them, positive results are sure to come.
Once medical marijuana dispensaries are able to open their doors in New Hampshire, doctors will also have the power to prescribe cannabis to their patients and many are already dreaming of this day. According to Governor Hassan, "Allowing doctors to provide relief to patients through the use of appropriately regulated and dispensed medical marijuana is the compassionate and right policy for the State of New Hampshire. The compromise addresses the concerns that I have heard and expressed throughout this session, and provides the level of regulation needed for the use of medical marijuana"
New Marijuana Laws Will Change New Hampshire
The following weeks will be decisive for the New Hampshire, as the legislative bodies in this State, still need to vote on the new laws and need to come to an agreement. There was also a proposition, for allowing medical marijuana patients to grow their own plants, but this does not seem to have as much support as some of us would want and many believe that this part of the bill, will not be accepted in the next couple of weeks.
Even if the people of New Hampshire are not allowed to grow their own cannabis plants, they will be very lucky if they get to have their own medical marijuana dispensaries and this is surely taking a step closer to the legalization of cannabis.
